Taeyun Kim is an associate with the Washington, D.C. law firm of Staas & Halsey LLP. Mr. Kim has over 15 years of experience as a Patent Agent. Mr. Kim’s patent prosecution experience includes materials science, ceramics, glass manufacturing, semiconductor processing and equipment, electrochromic device, microelectronic packaging, electronic thin film and thick films, energy storage device and home appliances.
Before becoming a patent agent, Mr. Kim worked as a product development engineer for a display device manufacturing company in Korea as well as a few start-ups in the US. While a graduate student he also worked as a materials chemist.
Mr. Kim received Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Ceramic Engineering from Yonsei University, Korea, and a PhD degree in Materials Science from North Carolina State University.
Mr. Kim is admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Kim is fluent in Korean.
