Grady McGinnity is an intellectual property attorney with the Washington, DC firm of Staas & Halsey LLP. His experience includes electronics, mechanical devices, wireless technologies, location-based service applications, communication protocols involving SMS, M2M and IoT protocols.

Mr. McGinnity also had experience in immigration law, representing individuals in immigration hearings and completing immigration applications.

In law school, Grady McGinnity captained the Phi Alpha Delta mock trial team to a national championship in 2022 and was elected to the Order of the Barristers for excellence in trial advocacy.

Mr. McGinnity has a law degree (J.D.) from the University of Tennessee Law School. He also has an electrical engineering degree (B.S.) from the University of Tennessee, where his group senior design thesis was a device for chemical lab spill detection via a neural network.

Mr. McGinnity is admitted to practice in Washington, District of Columbia (D.C.), and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Mr. McGinnity also enjoys reading, basketball, and walks with his cat, Babu.
