
Eric W. Farnsworth

Eric Farnsworth is an intellectual property attorney with the Washington, DC firm of Staas & Halsey LLP. His experience involves support of patent matters in various technology areas, including electronics, medical devices, wireless communication systems, computer hardware and software, and home appliances.
Mr. Farnsworth has experience in the defense industry. Before attending law school, he worked as an electrical systems engineer for Lockheed Martin Space in Assembly, Integration, and Test for GPS satellites in contract with the United States Air Force.
As a law student, Mr. Farnsworth worked as an extern at the United States Court of Federal Claims and as a law clerk for the patent litigation group of a large national law firm.
Mr. Farnsworth has a law degree (J.D.) with a concentration in Intellectual Property from the George Washington University Law School. He also has an electrical engineering degree (B.S.) from the Brigham Young University, where his coursework emphasized signal processing and control systems.
Mr. Farnsworth is admitted to practice in Washington, District of Columbia (D.C.), and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
Mr. Farnsworth also enjoys yoga and is an avid skier.
