Paul W. Bobowiec
Paul W. Bobowiec is an attorney with the Washington, D.C. law firm of Staas & Halsey LLP. He interned with the Office of Legislative and International Affairs at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in Washington, D.C., where he analyzed, and prepared briefs, on foreign and domestic intellectual property laws. Mr. Bobowiec also worked as an associate attorney with a law firm in Arlington, Virginia.
Prior to his legal career, Mr. Bobowiec was an Engineering Duty Officer in the United States Navy and acquired a broad experience in electronic and software systems, lectured at the U.S. Naval Academy in engineering, and served as lead electronic and software systems engineer and chief system integration engineer for varied government and contractor systems. After leaving the military, Mr. Bobowiec was principal engineer for systems and software at Comptek Corp., for various government and industrial projects.
Mr. Bobowiec has a systems engineering science degree (M.S.) from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California and a law degree (J.D.) from The George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C. He is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, New Jersey, Maryland, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States. He is also registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
In his spare time, Mr. Bobowiec enjoys varied outdoor and family activities, film, and music.
