Limited to matters and proceedings before federal courts and agencies, including the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Thomas L. Jones was born in Florence, Alabama. He is a graduate of Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama, with a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering. He received his law degree from the Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon. While in law school, Mr. Jones's team placed second in the fall of 2000 Mock Trial Moot Court. Mr. Jones is admitted to practice before the Oregon State Bar and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Jones has a vast experience with computer programs, both in software and programming language. He has served as an electrical engineer with Sigma Engineering, Inc., in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and also with SJO Engineering, Inc., in Portland Oregon. After obtaining his JD degree, Mr. Jones worked as an intellectual property attorney with the Columbia IP Law Group, PC, in Portland Oregon. Mr. Jones is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the IEEE Computer Society, and the American Bar Association - Intellectual Property Law and Science and Technology Sections.
