Paul W. Bobowiec Washington, District of Columbia
Paul W. Bobowiec was born in Palmer, Massachusetts. He received his Master of Science degree in Systems Engineering Science from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California, and his law degree from The George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C. While on duty with the United States Navy, Mr. Bobowiec acquired a broad experience in electronic and software systems, lectured at the U.S. Naval Academy in engineering, and held important positions such as lead electronic and software systems engineer and chief system integration engineer for government and government contractor systems. Upon his discharge from the military, Mr. Bobowiec continued to work in the engineering field and acted as principal engineer for systems and software at Comptek Corp. in Arlington, Virginia, where he engineered integration solutions for various government and industrial projects, helped develop software metrics and prototype evaluation technics, and worked on proposals for government contracts. Mr. Bobowiec's legal training focused on intellectual property. He has worked as an intern in the Office of Legislative and International Affairs at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in Washington, D.C., where he prepared briefs on foreign and domestic intellectual property laws and analyzed material for USPTO-sponsored symposia highlighting state sovereignty and business method patents. More recently, Mr. Bobowiec worked as an associate attorney with the law firm of Antonelli, Terry, Stout and Kraus in Arlington, Virginia. Mr. Bobowiec is admitted to the New Jersey and Maryland Bars and also is admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
